Litchi Seed Extract

Commonly known as litchi or lychee, this tropical fruit (Litchi chinensis Sonn) native to Southern China isn’t just a popular shaved ice flavor but rather a superfruit with tremendous properties which we refer to internally as the “ultra inhibitor”. Rich in saponins, tannins, flavonoids and anthocyanins, Litchi Seeds contain a powerhouse of anti-aging phytonutrients. Compelling clinical studies have shown that Litchi Seed Extract inhibits collagenase, an enzyme that when activated, degrades the natural collagen produced in the body. Other studies have demonstrated that topical application of Litchi Seed Extract increased collagen production in normal human fibroblasts. Recovering natural collagen is key to maintaining smooth and elastic skin properties that degrade starting at age twenty.
