Water-soluble silicon has recently been a hot topic in the Japanese beauty industry. Umo Silicon is the crème de la crème of water-soluble silicon options available in the marketplace mainly due to its unique production process. The proprietary extraction process involves placing quartz stones containing large amounts of silicon dioxide (Sio2) in a melting kiln and continuously baking the stones at a high temperature of 2,000 degrees Celsius producing unique multilayer micelle colloids giving Umo Silicon it’s competitive advantage.
